Katie Thompson joined the BCI Seattle office in February 2023 as a Market Development Assistant, working on a variety of tasks including research, grant writing, data entry, and other assistance as needed. Prior to joining BCI, she worked at a law firm providing administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
Originally from Bellingham, Washington, Katie received her bachelor's degree in International Studies and minors in Law and French from Whitworth University in Spokane. During her time studying, she spent a semester abroad in Brussels where she worked as a journalist intern for the European Union affairs newspaper New Europe. She wrote several articles in her time there, spanning topics from technological developments to food regulations. Following this she worked as an editorial assistant at The Fig Tree, a local Spokane publication as well as serving as a research and writing intern.
