Jack Downey joined BCI’s Sacramento office in May 2015 as a member of the Research and Information Services Team. He was promoted to Project Manager, Trade and Regulatory Databases in March 2017 and to Manager, Research and Evaluation in December 2024.
He manages research and evaluation projects on behalf of BCI's clients, and oversees the maintenance of BCI's customized trade regulation databases. Jack also assists with the production of the BCI Monitor, a weekly subscription newsletter covering global regulatory and trade issues.
Jack is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Economics. He also studied business economics at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Prior to joining BCI, Jack worked at the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, California’s single point of contact for economic development and job creation efforts.
