At the Potato Expo in Austin, Texas, BCI’s Senior Vice President for Market Access met with US Chief Agriculture Negotiator, Ambassador Doug McKalip to discuss market access issues. BCI has worked with the US Trade Representative’s office and USDA’s Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) for three decades opening new markets for US agriculture groups. Potato access to Mexico, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and quarantine issues in Canada were all covered in the industry meeting with Ambassador McKalip.
