On May 11, BCI's Vice President of Global Access Matt Lantz testified as part of a panel appearing before the House Ag Committee's Subcommittee on Nutrition, Foreign Agriculture and Horticulture. As Congress works on the 2023 Farm Bill, representatives are gathering information about important ag trade programs funded through the Farm Bill.
Specifically, Lantz provided subcommittee members with input on challenges faced by U.S farmers regarding global MRLs and on the value of the Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops program. Lantz appeared on behalf of the International Fresh Produce Association and the National Potato Council.
