Last week, Bryant Christie Inc. hosted the biannual American Potato Trade Alliance (APTA) meeting in Washington, DC, bringing together quick service restaurants, processors, and grower groups to address international trade barriers facing processed potato exports.
For 26 years, BCI has administered APTA, which addresses tariff issues, labeling and documentation challenges, and pesticide maximum residue level (MRL) changes on potatoes. During the meeting's reception, we got to celebrate the numerous trade barriers APTA has resolved over the years, allowing for hundreds of millions of fry and dehydrated exports from the United States.
