ProWein is considered the largest wine trade show in the world.
Eric Rosenberg, BCI Executive Vice President recently traveled to Europe with representatives from the Oregon Wine Board, Washington Wine Commission, and individual wineries from the two states to promote Pacific Northwest wines in key target markets. Events included seminars, a walk-about tasting, and VIP media dinner in London, a seminar and tasting in Copenhagen, and the ProWein trade show in Dusseldorf.
ProWein is considered the largest wine trade show in the world. Oregon and Washington each had a stand at the trade show featuring multiple wineries from the respective states. Eric poured wine and met with importers, buyers, media, and government officials to gauge opportunities for Pacific Northwest wine exports to Europe. The slate of activities in Europe was largely funded by USDA export assistance grant programs.
