BCI on the ground in Brussels
Earlier this month, Alinne Oliveira (she/her) and Shelbi Knisley attended the CropLife Europe Conference (March 3–4, 2026), engaging with stakeholders on evolving EU pesticide policy and its global trade implications.
With the European Commission’s proposed Food and Feed Safety Simplification Package (published December 2025), significant updates are under consideration, including revisions to Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and Regulation (EC) 396/2005. These changes could reshape how Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) are applied, with potential to act as technical barriers impacting agricultural exports to the EU.
BCI continues to closely monitor these developments, providing clients with timely insights and strategic guidance to navigate regulatory complexity and maintain market access.
