On December 18, BCI Vice President for Global Access Matt Lantz and Trade Policy Specialist Alinne Oliveira participated in the Global Hop Summit in Brussels. The goal of the meeting was to inform members of the European Parliament and European Commission on issues affecting the long term production of hops.
Alinne Oliveira moderated the entire event, while Matt Lantz spoke on how EU pesticide policies are impacting hop production both in Europe and around the world. Matt also participated in several panel discussions including one with the Chairman of the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee.
