BCI Engages Global Hop Industry Leaders at the 2026 American Hop Convention

Bryant Christie Inc. was pleased to participate in the 2026 American Hop Convention in Tucson, Arizona, hosted by Hop Growers of America. The Hop Research Council Winter Meeting was held in conjunction with the convention, led by Alicia Adler, who serves as the Council's Executive Technical Director.

BCI’s Matt Lantz and Alinne Oliveira engaged with U.S. and European hop industry leaders to discuss key international trade issues affecting the sector, with a particular focus on EU pesticide regulations and tariff policies impacting transatlantic hop trade.

Highlights from the HRC Winter Meeting included a guest research presentation from the University of Arizona's Dr. Ravi Palanivelu titled, "Beating the Heat: Understanding Plant Fertility for Engineering Heat-Resilient Crops," as well as a presentation from Gwen-Alyn Hoheisel and Lav Khot from WSU Extension titled, "Smart Farms and Precision Spraying Technologies." Alicia also recognized the retirement of Dr. John Henning, after serving 30 years as a research geneticist with USDA-ARS.

With more than 30 years of experience supporting the U.S. hop industry and nearly a decade working with German and European partners, BCI continues to help industry stakeholders navigate regulatory challenges and reduce trade barriers in global markets.
