Nigel Quinn, a member of BCI's Market Development team, attended the 2023 Washington State Wine Commission UK Wine Tour. During this reverse trade mission, British wine trade and media personnel visited exporting Washington State wineries. The tour demonstrated the region's ability to produce world-class wines of nearly all major Rhone and Bordeaux grape varieties, a unique asset among wine-making regions of the world.
During the visit, Nigel provided strategic advice on how to expand and improve the Northwest Wine Commission’s promotions of Pacific Northwest wine across the world.
BCI is involved in all stages of the preparation for these events, helping to secure transport, lodging, and arranging meals for guests. BCI and the WSWC have had a long-standing relationship, allowing the BCI team member on the trip to act as an extension of the WSWC team, greatly increasing the Commission’s overall capacity.
