Alicia led a facilitated research discussion on the research of biotechnology in hops, with guest speakers from USDA, ARS, OSU, and the Brewers Association.
Last week, BCI’s Alicia Adler led the Hop Research Council’s 2023 Summer Meeting in Boise, Idaho. During the meeting, Hop Research Council (HRC) funded researchers presented mid-year findings and provided updates to their projects. This year’s meetings were hosted by the Idaho Hop Growers Commission, which organized a field tour and dinner for the group. Later in the week, Alicia led a facilitated research discussion on the research of biotechnology in hops, with guest speakers from US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Bryant Christie Inc., Oregon State University, and the Brewers Association.
She concluded her trip to Idaho with a visit to Elk Mountain Farms, the largest hop farm in the world owned and operated by Anheuser-Busch. She was hosted by Elk Mountain Farms General Manager Ed Atkins Jr and HRC President Mark Yocum (also Technical Director, North America, of Anheuser-Busch, Inc.).
As part of her role at BCI, Alicia serves as the Executive Technical Director for HRC and is responsible for the management and technical direction of the organization. BCI provides a range of services and expertise to industries looking for results-oriented solutions to association management, and partners with several clients to provide leadership and organizational development to their industries.
