Paid Internship: International Market Development Grant Writing and Communications

Bryant Christie Inc. is looking for an intern to support our Market Development team with grant writing, communications, and administrative work for food, beverage, and agricultural organizations related to their export development programs and initiatives. No prior grant writing experience is required, and while familiarity with the Ag/Food/Beverage sector is helpful, it is not necessary. What matters most are outstanding writing skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines, and the ability to gain the trust of peers, clients, and partners.

In addition to supporting client-facing grant and research projects, this role will contribute to strengthening Bryant Christie Inc.’s external communications, including website and social media content.

What the successful candidate will have:
• Acute attention to detail and accountability for the accuracy of their work
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce accurate, clear, and concise content across formats
• Strong editing skills and an understanding of tone and audience
• Willingness to ask questions

What could set you apart:
• Grant writing experience
• Experience writing website or social media copy
• Interest in and knowledge of international trade or international business
• Familiarity with the agriculture, food, or beverage sector
• Experience living or working internationally

Key responsibilities:
• Grant writing and administration related to USDA export assistance grant programs
• Market research
• Drafting and editing website copy, including a refresh of key website language
• Writing at least two client case studies for publication on our website
• Writing at least two “Global Insights” articles for our website
• Supporting social media content development aligned with firm initiatives and industry insights

Location: Downtown Seattle

This internship is paid at $24/hr and requires 20 hours per week. We are flexible on the schedule and internship duration, though we are looking for availability between April and June. There is the potential to extend beyond this timeframe depending on needs.
